The Path of Ash and Flame

⚔️ The Path of Ash and Flame

He dreamed of a throne built of ruin and resolve, though he sat upon no such thing. Only a chair. Scarred by use, silent in judgment. Before him, a screen flickered with ancient runes—green and red, like the bleeding of gods.
He had chosen this life. Or perhaps it had chosen him.
It mattered little.
What mattered was the trial.
The market was no market. It was a god made monstrous by indifference. A thing that devoured certainty and shat doubt. It offered nothing but truth — and the truth was cruel.
But he remained.
Others might name this journey trading.
He knew better. This was ascension — the kind sought not by those who live quiet lives, but by those who walk into storms with their hearts exposed.
Each trade was a duel. Blade drawn against the mirror.
He had fallen.
Again.
Again.
Again.
Losses that cracked ribs. Failures that crawled like worms into the soul.
On the other side of the screen, no enemy waited.
The enemy was within — a creature of habits, of longing, of ego wrapped tight in the illusion of control.
He had faced gods in his past life. The God of Sweat. The God of Suffering Wood. Now he faced the God of Probabilities.
He laughed.
Only a madman laughs before such a god.
Or a soldier of truth.
He kept records — not of wins, not of the shallow trophies the unblooded seek —
but of lessons carved in flesh.
There, amidst the debris of broken setups and mistimed exits, glimmered insight.
He was alone.
But never truly.
Memory marched beside him — a procession of ghosts made from every time he broke a rule, every moment he hesitated, every dream he dared breathe.
A younger version of himself might have turned away. Might have spat curses at the sky.
But he was no longer young.
Now, he was becoming.
One day, he would rise. Not because fate had favored him.
But because he had endured the fire, and did not burn.
