One definition. One protocol. The Compass is not a tier. It is an overlay that sits above all tiers. Its purpose is simple:
To determine whether you are aligned enough to act.
What the Compass Is
The Compass is a unifying alignment check across identity, cognition, and decision. It exists to prevent self-betrayal by catching misalignment before it becomes execution. It does not analyze markets. It does not validate setups. It does not optimize performance. It answers one question only:
Am I on my path right now?
The Three Alignment Checks
The Compass checks three angles simultaneously.
1. Identity Check (Creed)
Am I acting in accordance with who I said I am?
- Did I prepare with intent?
- Am I honoring my risk and discipline vows?
- Am I trading from posture, not emotion?
If identity is compromised, alignment fails.
2. Cognition Check (Meta-8)
Am I thinking in sequence, not bias?
- Did I run the Meta-8 without skipping steps?
- Am I seeing structure and flow, not projecting outcomes?
- Is clarity present, or am I filling gaps with conviction?
If thinking is incomplete or distorted, alignment fails.
3. Decision Check (Execution Gate)
Am I acting only when alignment is present?
- Do all execution gates pass?
- Am I centered and neutral?
- Is this a permitted action, not a forced one?
If action is premature, reactive, or justified after the fact, alignment fails.
The Compass Protocol
The Compass is binary. It does not negotiate.
- If all three checks pass, you may proceed.
- If any check fails, you pause.
Pause means:
- No trade
- No justification
- No “almost”
Pause is not weakness. Pause is integrity.
What the Compass Is Not
The Compass is not:
- A strategy filter
- A confidence booster
- A replacement for discipline
- A tool to talk yourself into trades
It does not tell you what to trade. It tells you whether you are allowed to act at all.
When to Use the Compass
Use the Compass:
- Before entering a trade
- After a loss or emotional spike
- When you feel urgency, pressure, or doubt
- When something feels off but you cannot name why
If you are unsure whether to use it, that is your answer. Use it.
Core Principle
You do not trade setups. You trade alignment. If you are not on-path, standing down is not avoidance. It is correct execution.
Lock-In Statement
I do not act unless identity, cognition, and decision align. If alignment fails, I pause without argument.
That is the Compass.
